300-Hour Yoga Teacher Training

Curriculum and format

Yoga Baum Yoga School's 300-Hour Yoga Teacher Training in Louisville, KY builds upon the foundation set in the 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training. This Yoga Alliance-approved advanced training is for students and teachers who seek to deepen their knowledge of yoga and teaching methodology so that they can competently and confidently teach many different groups and populations. Going beyond the basics of sequencing and theming, this training prepares trainees to structure empowering, beneficial, and meaningful classes. Trainees will learn more subtle elements of the yoga practice that will make their classes unique, thoughtful, and powerful. Trainees will graduate with a deeper knowledge of yogic philosophy, anatomy, sequencing, and theming, and be able to teach a wide variety of yoga classes, including All Levels, Yoga Core, Gentle Yoga, Chair Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Meditation, and Pranayama. Special attention is given to how to teach and offer modifications for students who have experienced injury, pregnancy, and trauma.

The 300-Hour Yoga Teacher Training is offered in a modular format so that you can take more content that applies to your interests and you can do so on your schedule. You can start with any of the modules, at any time, and take modules at your own pace to complete the teacher training.

Training modules are workshops that are offered in the evenings and on weekends. Yogis seeking to become a RYT 500 must complete 270 Contact Hours and 30 Non-Contact Hours. Yoga Baum offers a combination of on-demand workshops and series, weekend-long workshops, and day-long workshops, so that you have different options for how to complete your training. You have 5-years to complete this training, but we recommend you complete it in 2 years or less if your schedule will allow. You may not take the same module more than once to count towards the official certification.

Yoga Baum Yoga School’s 300-Hour Yoga Teacher Training takes place at our studio, located in the St. Matthews neighborhood in Louisville, Kentucky

Lead trainer, Laurie LeCompte, will advise you in how to achieve your official certification and which modules you must take to meet the requirements. Contact her here with your questions.
